The Shahkot police have arrested a drug peddler on the charge of selling heroin.
Investigating Officer (IO)and Talwandi Sangherra police post in charge Nirmal Singh said 150 grams of heroin were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Gurwindar Singh alias Golu, son of Iqbal Singh, a resident of Dhando Wal village.
IO said a case under section 21-B/61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused and impounded his motorcycle on which he was travelling with the contraband.
The Mehat Pur police arrested two drug peddlers Mandeep Singh son of Gurpal Singh, resident of Bilga village and Jasveer Singh alias Berru, son of Gurnam Singh, a resident of Dharme Dian Chhana under Mehat Pur police station, with 20 grams of heroin, said IO Kulwindar Singh.
