The Shahkot police have arrested a youth on charge of kidnapping a minor.
Investigating officer (IO) Sukhwindar Singh said that the accused has been identified as Manidar Singh(juvenile) son of Avtar Singh a resident of Buddann Wal under Shahkot police station.
The father of the victim had complained to the police that accused kidnapped his minor daughter on the pretext of marriage on April 21.
IO said that a case under sections 137(2) (kidnapping) ,96(procuration of a child) of the BNS was registered against the accused.
