The Nurmahal police have arrested a drug addict criminal on the charge of raping a 4-year-old girl.
Investigating Officer (IO) Inspector Seema Ranni said the accused has been identified as Amrik Singh alias Saabi son of Nachhtar a resident of Dandu Wal village under Nurmahal police station.
The father of the victim complained to the police that the accused kidnapped his four-year-old girl and raped her.
Village residents caught the accused and handed him over to the police after knowing about the crime committed by him.
IO said a case under section 65(2) (punishment for rape in certain cases) of the BNS and sections 6 of the POSCO Act has been registered against the accused
