The Shahkot police have booked four looters on the charge of looting silver jewellery from a woman.
Investigating Officer (IO) Sukhwindar Pal Singh said the accused have been identified as Nikka son of Jagga a resident of Kania Khurd village and his three unidentified accomplices.
Palwindar Singh a resident of Sandha Wal village r complained to the police that the accused waylaid him and his wife on April 20 assaulted them and snatched his wife Krishna’s silver chain
Investigating Officer said a case under sections 309(6) (robbery) 126(2) (wrongful restraint) and 61(2) (criminal conspiracy) of the BNS has been registered against accused.
It seems that the looter’s gangs are working in coordination under some kind of political patronage and area residents are feeling helpless in this situation.
