NAKODAR
The Nakodar City police have booked designated terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu and his five agents and arrested three of them for promoting enmity between different groups and doing acts preludial to maintenance of harmony, conspiracy of waging war against the Government of India and criminal conspiracy.
Jalandhar (rural) Senior Superintendent of police Harwindar Singh Virk said designated terrorist Pannu is native of Khan Kot village under Jandiala Guru police station Amrit Sar and presently settled in USA and his agents are identified as Balkaran Singh son of Avtar Singh a resident of Khan Pur Dhadda village and presently living in Canada ,Bir SukhPal Singh son of Gurmail Singh a resident of Khan Pur Dhadda village ,Kartik son of Surindar Pal a resident of Guru Teg Bahadar Nagar Nakodar ,Tejpal Singh alias Palli son of Sarabjit Singh a resident of Ranjit Nagar near Reharrwan under Nakodar City police station and Jaskaran Preet Singh alias Bawa . SSP said three accused identified as Bir SukhPal Singh son of Gurmail Singh a resident of Khan Pur Dhadda village, Kartik son of Surindar Pal a resident of Guru Teg Bahadar Nagar Nakodar has been arrested.
SSP said that the accused pasted Khalistani poster on walls near National College Nakodar and State Public School on February 13 and video graphed posters and posted it on social media and had written Khalistani slogans and Modi Murdabad on one side of Highway Bridge near truck union on February 28.
SSP said Pannu is main conspirator of this activity who made videos viral on social media and gave money to Balkaran Singh in Canada and Balkaran sent money to his Indian accomplices to paste posters, write slogans and indulge in anti-India activities to instigate people and disturb peace.
SSP said on the basis of this information a case under sections 196(promoting enmity between different groups and doing acts preludial to maintenance of harmony,) 148(conspiracy of waging war against the Government of India) and 61(2) (criminal conspiracy) of the BNS has been registered against the accused
