The Mehat Pur police have arrested three drug peddlers on the charge of supplying / selling heroin and intoxicant tablets.
Investigating Officer (IO) Gurnam Singh said that 20 grams of heroin and 124 intoxicant tablets (loose) were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Kuljit Singh alias Babu son of Malkit Singh and Harjindar Singh alias Saabi son of Nirwair Singh residents of Umre Wal village.
IO said the accused told the police that have purchased contraband from Amandeep Singh alias Raja son of Amarjit alias Amba a resident of Bute Dian Chhana village who has been nominated and arrested in this case registered against the accused under sections 21 -B/22-B/29/61/85 of the NDPS Act. IO said an active scooter a motor cycle and a Kanda has been impounded which was used by drug peddlers who are notorious criminals and cases are pending against them.
The Lohian Khas police also arrested drug peddler Jaswant Singh alias Jassi son of Kala Singh Pritam Dass a resident of Pipply village with 49 intoxicant tablets said IO Balveer Chand.
