Five drug peddlers arrested under NDPS Act


 NAKODAR/SHAHKOT

 The Nakodar City police have arrested two drug peddlers on the charge of selling intoxicant tablets.

 Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sukhpal Singh said that 110 intoxicant tablets (loose) were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Tirath son of Daulat a resident of Mohalla Bhalia, Nakodar and Tarsem Singh son of Teja Singh a resident of Mohalla Guru Nanak Pura, Nakodar

DSP said the Nakodar Sadar police also arrested drug peddler Amandeep Pal alias Rauki son of Pritam Dass a resident of Khiva village with 62 intoxicant tablets.

 DSP said that cases under sections 22/61/85 of the NDPS Act have been registered against the accused.

The Shahkot police arrested drug peddlers Pawitar Singh alias Pitar son of Mangal Singh  a resident of Kania Kalan village and Gagan Deep Singh alias Gagan son of Lakhwindar Singh a resident of Mohalla New Kartar Nagar Shahkot with 103(50+53) intoxicant tablets (loose) said station House Officer investigating Officer Balwindar Singh Bhullar.
