The Lohian Khas police have arrested a thief on the charge of stealing copper wires from farmers' motors.
Investigating Officer (IO) Parmindar Singh said that the accused has been identified as Sahib Singh son of Piara Singh a resident of Bharoana village under Kabir Pur police station Kapurthala.
Arwindar Singh a resident of Yusaf Pur Dare Wal village
complained to the police that the accused stole copper wire from his motor and adjoining motors.
IO said that stolen copper wire from farmer’s motors was recovered from the accused. A case under sections 303(2) (theft) and 317(2) (dishonestly receiving stolen property) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
