JALANDHAR
Harvinder Singh Virk on Saturday took charge as the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Jalandhar (Rural). Talking to the media after assuming charge, he said that it is a matter of pride for him that he has got the opportunity to serve the public. He thanked the Punjab Government and the Police Department for reposing faith in him.
Harvinder Singh said that as the new SSP, he assures the public that every possible effort will be made to maintain law and order in Jalandhar (Rural), ensure public safety and resolve community concerns in an easy manner.
He appealed to the citizens to become partners in the fight against drugs. He said that strict action will be taken against drugs and no element associated with the drug trade will be spared.
SSP appealed to the people to report any suspicious activity or crime to their nearest police station or police helpline, so that the police department can serve the community even more effectively.
