Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria on Wednesday urged students to move forward with complete dedication to achieve their goals in life.
While inaugurating the Sixth Rajeshwari Art Festival at A.P.J. College of Fine Arts in Jalandhar, the Governor encouraged the youth to work with commitment to realize their aspirations and contribute to preserving and advancing the country’s cultural heritage.
Highlighting the importance of moral values along with education, Kataria stated that for shaping the country’s future and the character of society, it is crucial for students to embrace ethical values. He stressed that educational institutions play a vital role in this regard.
The Governor announced that he would be launching a walkathon against drug abuse from Thursday. Urging the people of the state to actively participate in the fight against drugs, he emphasized that no battle can be won without public cooperation. He called upon citizens to take a stand against this social evil and work towards its complete eradication.
During the art festival, Shri Kataria appreciated the creativity and talent of the students. He expressed his delight in seeing the youth’s ability to preserve and promote their cultural heritage. He emphasized that art should be used as a force for positive change in society.
The Governor also praised the college for its contributions to the field of art and culture. He lauded the institution’s efforts to connect students with cultural values through artistic endeavours.
Earlier, the college administration honoured Governor Gulab Chand Kataria upon his arrival at the institution.
