JALANDHAR
Principal Secretary, water resources, and in-charge secretary Jalandhar, Krishan Kumar, on Saturday, reviewed the progress of the aspirational block programme in Shahkot. Accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal, he emphasized the need for a concerted effort to achieve 100% targets across all 38 parameters of the program.
During the review meeting, the in-charge secretary assessed various indicators, including health, education, basic infrastructure, soil conservation, groundwater levels, potable drinking water availability, ODF status, functional Anganwadi centers, nourishment levels, banking facilities, besides others. He urged officials to work proactively to bridge any gaps and ensure holistic development in the block.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal apprised the in-charge secretary of the administration’s efforts over the past year, highlighting significant progress in most parameters. He stated that over 95% of the targets have been met across multiple components and assured that all 38 parameters would be fully achieved soon.
Additional Deputy Commissioners Aparna MB and Budhi Raj Singh, SDM Shahkot Shubhi Aangra, and officials from various departments attended the meeting, reaffirming their commitment to the programme’s success.
