The Nurmahal police have arrested a migrant drug peddler on the charge of selling intoxicant tablets.
Station Houser Officer (SHO) Krishan Gopal said 147 intoxicant tablets(loose) were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Nand Lal Bind son of Parlad Bind a native of Bihar and presently living in slums near railway station Nurmahal .
SHO said a case under sections 22//61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused.
The Nakodar Sadar police arrested drug peddler Jagdeesh Pal Sidhu alias Ghugi son of Surindar Pal alias Ranna of Rasul Pur Kalan village with 112 intoxicant tablets said investigating officer Jaspal Singh.
The Lohian Khas have police arrested three drug addicts as on the charge of consuming heroin.
Investigating Officer (IO) Balveer Chand said that the accused have been identified asManoj Kumar alias Kalu son of Harblas Ramesh Kumar son of Bhagwan Dass and Kamal Kumar son of Amar Chand residents of Sekhon village under Rama Mandi police station Bhathinda and a lighter, silver paper, and plastic pipe used for consuming contraband were recovered from their possession and impounded their car
