Reiterating zero tolerance against the scourge of drugs, Commissioner of Police Jalandhar Ms. Dhanpreet Kaur has asked the officers to pull up their socks for making Jalandhar drug free.
The Commissioner of Police has passed on the directions to the officers to ensure that the drive against drugs is transformed into a mass movement with active support of the people. She said that the Police officers should solicit maximum support from the general public to rout out this menace from the city. Ms. Dhanpreet Kaur unequivocally said that anyone involved in this heinous crime would not be spared.
The Commissioner of Police said that the focus of officers should be on snapping the supply line of drugs and putting the drug smugglers behind the bars. She said that the Commissionerate Police is duty bound to take strict action against drug smugglers and such forces inimical to state. Ms. Dhanpreet Kaur unequivocally said that she will be personally monitoring the drive against drugs in the city and any sort of laxity is unwarranted.
The Commissioner of Police said that the Station House Officers will be held accountable for sale of any sort of drugs in the area of their jurisdiction. She asked the officers to make tireless efforts for eliminating this curse from the society adding that no stone should be left unturned for this noble cause. Ms. Dhanpreet Kaur further said that she will not rest until a single ounce of drug is present in the city and drive against drugs will be carried on zealously.
