As part of the ongoing ‘War Against Drugs’ awareness campaign, the Jalandhar Rural Police organized a significant seminar in Shahkot today. The event witnessed the participation of senior police officials, social leaders, and political representatives.
The seminar was led by Gurmeet Singh, SSP Jalandhar Rural,Smt. Jasroop Kaur Bath, SP (D) Jalandhar, Onkar Singh Brar, DSP Shahkot. Prominent attendees included Stephen Clare, AAP District President Jalandhar, Parminder Singh Pindar Pandori, AAP constituency IN charge, SDM Shahkot and other local dignitaries.
The speakers discussed the devastating impact of drug abuse on society and emphasized the need for collective action against drug use and trafficking. A pledge was taken to unite in the fight against drugs.
The police are actively conducting awareness campaigns through seminars, interactive sessions, and initiatives like ‘War Against Drugs’ to educate the public about the dangers of drug abuse. These efforts aim to eradicate drugs from society and protect the youth from addiction.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jalandhar Rural, Gurmeet Singh also conducted an inspection today at the office of DSP Shahkot, Sanjh Kendra Shahkot, and Shahkot Police Station, reviewing various departmental operations.
During the visit, he also inspected the Road Safety Force, ERV Team, and Call 112 Service, issuing necessary guidelines. SSP assessed the security arrangements and instructed officers to make every possible effort to serve the public and improve law and order.
Senior officers, police station heads, and other staff members were present on this occasion. Emphasizing police priorities, the SSP stated that maintaining law and order, combating drug abuse, and ensuring public welfare remain the top priorities of the police force.
