14 drug peddlers were arrested yesterday in special operation named “Yudh Nashe De Viruth “in Nakodar and Shahkot police sub divisions and Bilga police station.
Nakodar Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sukhpal Singh said the accused have been identified as Sunil Kumar son of Rak Kumar a resident of Nawan Pind Arayian village and Ranjit Singh son of Ashwani Kumar a resident of Mohalla Shadi Kha Mehat Pur( Rs 5 Lakhs drug money +1150 intoxicant tablets and 200 capsules )Ravindar Pal alias Ranna son of Arjan Singh a resident of Adhi village (100 grams heroin) Surjit Singh alias Sonu son of Surindar Singh of Chak Kalan village ( 95 intoxicant tablets ) and Bhawant Singh alias Kalu son of Darshan Singh of Burj Hassan village under Bilga police station ( 240 intoxicant tablets ) .
Shahkot DSP Onkar Singh Brar said the accused have been identified as Amarjit Singh alias Joga son of Gurbachan Singh a resident of Billi Chuharmi village (95 intoxicant tablets )Gurpreet Singh alia Gopi son of Ajit Singh of Punia village and love preet Singh alias Laadi son of Mangal Singh of Mianni village (290 intoxicant tablets ) Harash son of Ashoki a resident of Sant Nagar Dharam Kot in Moga (50 Intoxicant tablets ) Gurmit Singh alias Meeta son of Surat Singh of Umre Wal village under Mehat Pur police station ( 95 I.tablets )Viki son of Gurnam Singh of Gurnam Singh of Ismail Pur village under Mehat Pur police station (119 I .tablets )
The Bilga police arrested two drug peddlers Gurdeep Singh aias Deepa son of Mohinder Singh of Meon Wal village and Jagjit Singh alias Sheesha son of Burj Hassan village (207 I.Tablets ) said SHO Palwinder Singh .
Cases under sections 21-B/22-B/61/85 of the NDPS Act had been registered against the accused
