The Mehat Pur police have arrested a villager on the charge of selling illicit liquor.
Investigating Officer Balwindar Singh said that 20 bottles of illicit liquor were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Balwindar Singh a resident of Mehsam Pur village.
A case under section 61/1/14 of the Excise Act has been registered against the accused.
The Shahkot police arrested Soni of Talwandi Butian with 20 bottles of hooch said investigating officer Puran Singh.
