The Nakodar Sadar and City police have arrested four drug peddlers including a couple on the charges of selling intoxicant tablets.
Nakodar Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sukhpal Singh said that 508(308+200) intoxicant tablets (loose) were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Baljit Singh son of Chindar Pal Singh a resident of Pati Takhar Shankar village, his wife Anju and Lakhveer Singh alias Walaitia son of Santokh Singh and Kulwindar Singh alias Gabbar son of Karnail Singh residents of Dherian village.
DSP said cases under sections 22/61/85 of the NDPAS act have been registered against the accused.
The Mehat Pur police arrested drug peddler Lakhwindar Singh alias Lakha son of Mukhtiar Singh a resident of Jhugian (beetal) village with 110 intoxicant tablets said investigating officer Gurnam Singh.
