The Nakodar Sada police have booked a Ludhiana based car driver for causing death by negligence.
Investigating Officer (IO)Lovleen Kumar said the accused have been identified as Amarjeet Singh son of Piara Singh a resident of Bhora colony under Salen Tabri police station, Ludhiana.
Harman Preet Singh a resident of Hussaina Bad village complained to the police that the accused car driver was driving fast and negligently and hit his SUV on February 25 near Chak Kalan village injuring his family members including his wife Simaran jit Kaur who succumbed to her injuries in a clinic on February 27.
The IO said a case under section 106(causing death by negligence) 281 (rash driving on public way) and 324(4) (mischief) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
