NAKODAR
The Nakodar Sadar police have booked a villager for using cast remarks.
Nakodar Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sukhpal Singh said the accused had been identified as Gurpal Singh alias Pala, son of Shital Singh, a resident of Nur Pur Chatha village.
Gagan Deep Singh a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused used caste remarks against him in an audio recording sent to him on his WhatsApp number on September 27 ,2024.
DSP said a case under sections 3(1) (R)(S) of the Schedule Castes and Schedule Tribes Act 1989 has been registered against the accused.
