SHAHKOT
Gulzar Singh of Congress was on Thursday elected president of Shahkot Nagar Panchayat(NP) while his collegue Kuljit Ranni Kumar was elected vice president. Both received ten votes . SDM Shubi Angra supervised the election process. Shahkot MLA Hardev Singh Laadi Shero Walia attended the meeting and proposed names for president and vice president .
Congress has won nine seats in house of 13 .
Jalandhar rural police has made proper security arrangements and SP Manpreet Singh Dhillon, DSP Onkar Singh Brar supervised.
