The Shahkot police have booked a Moga district Transporter for endangering life.
Investigating Officer (IO) Balvir Singh said the accused has been identified as Ravinder Singh Sandhu son of Karnail Singh Sandhu alias Binda Sarpanch a resident of Kokri Kalan village in Moga district.
Sonu Tomar manager of Chak Bahmania Toll Plaza complained to Jalandhar(rural) Senior Superintendent of Police that the accused is the owner of Anhad Transport, and his five trucks pass the toll plaza almost daily.
The complainant said when his employees ask to pay toll tax vehicle drivers use abusive language and threaten to crush them under their trucks.
Sonu Tomar said truck owner Ravinder Singh used abusive language against place employees and threatened to kill them at the point of a gun and said his vehicle would continue to pass breaking the barrier.
The complainant said this is causing revenue loss and incidents recorded in CCTV cameras and demanded legal action against the erring transporter.
IO said a case under sections 125 (endangering life or personal safety of others) and 351 (3) (criminal intimidation) of the BNS and sections 25/27/54/59 of the Arms Act has been registered against the accused.
