The Mehat Pur police have arrested a youth on the charge of kidnapping a minor girl.
Investigating Officer (IO) )Baljindar Singh said the accused had been identified as Rajiv Kumar alias Kulu son of Kuldeep a resident of Sango Wal village.
Raju of the same village had complained to the police that the accused kidnapped his minor daughter on November 21 by inducing her on the pretext of marriage.
IO said a case under Sections 137(2) (kidnapping), and 87 (kidnapping to murder or for ransom) of the BNS was registered against the accused.
