The Nakodar City police have booked three of family among a woman on the charges of assaulting a villager.
Investigating Officer (IO) Dilbag Singh said that the accused have been identified as Baldev Singh a resident of Ludhiana village his daughter Shagan Deep Kaur and son-in-law Sukhwindar Singh.
Gurdeep Singh a resident of Bopa Rai village complained to the police that the accused was waylaid and attacked him at the behest of Shangun Deep and threatened him with dire consequences.
IO said a case under sections 115(2),18(1) (voluntarily causing grievous hurt with dangerous weapons or means) 126(2) (wrongful restraint) 351(3)(criminal intimidation ) 61(2)(criminal conspiracy ) and 3(5) (committing a crime with common intention ) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
