The Nakodar City police have arrested a local thief on the charge of stealing an air conditioner (AC) and solar panel from a bank premises.
Investigating Officer (IO) Rajindar Pal Singh said the accused has been identified as Balwindar Singh alias Sonu son of Nirmal Singh a resident of Mohalla Indira Colony.
Bank of Baroda branch manager Pawan Kumar Sandal complained to the police that the accused had stolen the air conditioner and solar panel from bank premises on November 11, 2024.
IO said a case under section 303(2) (theft) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
