The Shahkot police have arrested two miscreants on the charge of snatching cash.
Investigating officer (IO) Balveer Singh said the accused had been identified as Jagtar Singh, alias Laki, son of Harbans Singh, and Karanver Singh, alias Karan, son of Jaswinder Singh both residents of Bajwa Kalan village
Sukhwant Singh a resident of Jagat Pur Sohal village had complained to the police that he was returning home on December 31 late evening when the accused waylaid him assaulted and snatched cash from him.
IO said a case under sections 304 (2) (snatching) and 3(5) (committing a crime with the common intention) of the BNS was registered against the accused.
