The Nakodar city police have arrested a woman on the charge of attacking a police officer.
Investigating Officer (IO ) Rajindar Pal Singh said that the accused has been identified as Sarabjit Kaur wife of Kulvinder Singh a resident of Nawan Pind Araniyan village in Nakodar sub division .

Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Rannjit Singh had said in his statement that he was a duty officer on March 9, 2023, when the accused reached the main gate of the police station in a vehicle (Pb-08-DC-4699) with a police logo pasted on it and black films covering its windowpanes.
ASI had said the accused Kulwant Singh alias Kantu son of Kulwindar Singh was wanted in a case registered against him and was summoned for investigation.
Ranjit Singh had said that after deboarding from the vehicle the accused his brother and his mother started using filthy language against the police and he asked them to remain calm. Still, they assaulted him tore his uniform, and obstructed him from discharging his public functions.
IO said a case under sections 353(criminal force to deter a public servant from discharge of his duty), 186(obstructing a public servant in discharge of public functions), 506(criminal intimidation), 509(word, gesture, or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman), and 34(committing the crime with common intention ) of the IPC was registered against the accused and her two sons who were arrested earlier.
