Two booked for bid to encroach shop

 

NAKODAR

The Nakodar city police have booked two persons on charges of attempting to encroach on a shop and threatening its tenant.

Investigating officer (IO) Rajindar Kumar said the accused had been identified as Amarjit Singh a resident of Mohalla Sher Pur and his unidentified accomplice.

Sunil Kumar a resident of Mohalla Tandona complained to the police that he was operating a.

computer shop in Dakhni Adda which Amarjit Singh owns and forcibly trying to vacate it.

The complainant said he had obtained a stay order from a court about the shop adding that on December 27 the accused demolished the walls and boundary of the shop to encroach it.  

Sunil Kumar said in his complaint that when he stopped them from encroachment, the accused threatened him with dire consequences and demanded action against them.

 

IO said a case under sections 329(3) (criminal trespass) 62(attempt to commit offenses punishable with life imprisonment or other imprisonment) and 351(2) (criminal intimidation) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
