Man booked for rash driving

The Nakodar City police have booked a man on the charge of rash driving, causing grievous hurt and mischief.

Investigating Officer (IO) Rajindar Pal Singh said the accused had been identified as Lovpreet Singh son of Lakhvir Singh a resident of an unknown place.

Neha daughter of Pawan Kumar a resident of Kalian Mohalla complained to the police that her friend Kavita daughter of Shiv Kumar a resident of Mehat Pur and working in a clinic in Nakodar and both planned to go to Sultan Pur Lodhi to pay their obeisance on November 24  and started the journey in their vehicle and the accused who was known to Kavita reached on the spot and insisted to accompany them and forcibly barged into their vehicle and started driving.  

The complainant said the accused started quarreling with her friend while driving broke her mobile phone took the vehicle towards Nakodar-Malsian road hit a tree seriously injuring her and damaging the vehicle and demanded action against the accused.

 

IO said a case under section 281(rash driving on a public road) 125 A ,125 B (causing grievous hurt )  and 324 (4) (mischief ) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
