The Lohian Khas police have arrested a resident r on the charge of smuggling liquor.
Investigating Officer Sukhwindar Pal Singh said that 60 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Gurcharan Singh a resident of Padda colony Lohian town loaded in a car.
A case under section 61/1/14 of the Excise Act has been registered against the accused.
The Bilga police arrested a woman Kaushalya wife of Amarjit a resident of Mao Sahib village with 9 bottles of country-made illicit said IO Vijay Kumar.
