NAKODAR
The Nakodar City police have registered a daily diary report in connection with the death of a 9-month-old baby in Nakodar civil hospital on Friday.
Investigating Officer (IO) Dilbag Singh said that the deceased has been identified as Armaan son of Sunil Kumar, a resident of Sango Wal village under Mehat Pur police station.
The Father of the deceased told the police that his son was admitted to Nakodar Civil Hospital where he died.
IO said the police have registered a report under section 194 of the BNS.
Parents of the deceased and some other relatives had staged a dharna in front of the hospital alleging negligence on the part of the medical staff which led to the death of the baby.
Nakodar deputy superintendent of police Sukh Pal Singh pacified the protestors saying action would be taken based on the post-mortem report of the baby.
