The counting of votes will take place on the same day.
The filing of nominations will begin from Monday, said State Election Commissioner Raj Kamal Chaudhuri here on Sunday. The last date for filing the nominations is December 12. Scrutiny of nominations will be held on December 13.

With this, the model code of conduct has been imposed in the state. The expenditure limit for candidates contesting the polls has been fixed. For municipal corporations, the expenditure limit is Rs 4 lakh, and for municipal councils, it is between Rs 2 lakh and Rs 3.6 lakh, said Chaudhari.
