Four of family among eighteen booked for assaulting villager

 

SHAHKOT

The Shahkot Khas police have booked eighteen persons including four members of a family on the charges of assaulting a villager.

Investigating Officer (IO) Gurnam Singh said that the accused have been identified as William alias Viki a resident of Said Pur Jhirri village, his wife Mandeep Kaur, three sons Sahil, Anmol, and Sourav and Dulla a resident of Sarag Wal village and their twelve unidentified accomplices. 

Sukhdev Singh a resident of Said Pur Jhirri village complained to the police that the accused barged into his house attacked him with sharp weapons seriously injured him and ransacked his house threatening him with dire consequences.

 

IO said a case under sections 115(2) .118(1)  (voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means)351(2)(criminal intimidation  ) 332(2)(house trespass ) 324(4) (mischief) 191(3) (rioting) and 190(unlawful assembly) of the BNS has registered against the accused
