The Lohian Khas police have booked four villagers including a woman on the charges of assaulting a woman.
Investigating Officer (IO) Balwinder Singh said that the accused have been identified as Sajan alias Shuttar a resident of Kotha village, his mother Pindar Kaur, and Balwindar Singh and Golu residents of the same village.
Balbir Kaur a resident of the same village complained to the police that her husband’s nephew came bleeding seeking their support on November 13 late at night when the accused attacked her and her husband with sharp-edged weapons and seriously injured them. She said talks for agreement failed and action should be taken against attackers.
IO said a case under 115(2),118(1)(voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means), and 3(5) (committing the crime with common intention ) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
