SHAHKOT

 The Shahkot police have booked six villagers including two the charge of assaulting the co-villager woman.

Investigating officer (IO) Salindar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Gurbag Singh a resident of Reharrwan village his wife Balwindar Kaur, his daughter Lovepreet Kaur, son Sukhveer Singh, Manpreet Singh, and Gurjant Singh a resident of Mohari Wal village.

 Binder Kaur (55) wife of Gurmukh Singh a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused barged into her house on November 18 late evening and attacked her and family members with weapons and seriously injured them adding that a land dispute was the reason behind the attack.

 

IO said that a case under sections 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt) 333(house trespass), 191(3) (rioting) and 190 (unlawful assembly ) of the  BNS  has been registered against the accused.
