The Nakodar Sadar Pur police have booked a villager for violating an order duly promulgated by a public servant by burning paddy stubble fields.
Investigating Officer (IO) Kabul Singh said the suspect had been identified as Avtar Singh a resident of Gill village.
Nakodar Sub Divisional Magistrate L.V . Bains directed the police that the suspect burned paddy fields in his village and should be booked.
IO said a case under section 223 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the BNS has been registered against the suspect.
The Mehat Pur police booked Phumann Singh of Hari Pur village and Pritam Singh of Umre Wal village for burning paddy stubble fields said IO Jaspal Singh and Davindar Singh.
Nurmahal station House Officer Dilbag Singh said the police booked Sucha Singh of Rajo Wal village, Kulwant Singh of Uppal Jagir and Surjit Singh of Uppal Khalsa villages, Sukhjinder Singh of Natt village for burning paddy stubble fields.
The Bilga and Lothian Khas police booked two unidentified villagers for burning paddy stubble fields in Rawan village and Kotli Kamboj villages said IO Avtar Lal and Balwinder Singh.
