The Mehat Pur police have booked two villagers for violating an order duly promulgated by a public servant by burning paddy stubble fields.
Investigating Officer (IO) Davindar Singh said the suspects had been identified as Kulwindar Singh a resident of Bulanda village and Teju a resident of Udho Wal village.
IO said the police had received a satellite report burning paddy stubble fields in two villages and circle Patwari testified cultivators. that burned paddy fields in their field in villages.
IO said a case under section 223 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the BNS has been registered against the suspects.
