The Nakodar city police have booked a tractor driver on charges of rash driving, endangering life, and mischief.
Investigating Officer (IO) Amarik Lal said the accused has been identified as Gurjit Singh son of Nachhtar Singh a resident of Mahun Wal village.
Jaspal Singh a resident of Mohalla Guru Nanak Pura Nakodar complained to the police that his close relative Amarik Singh was going to Kapurthala Chownk from Jalandhar bypass in his car on November October 19 when the accused tractor-trolley driver hit his vehicle and seriously injured him and damaged vehicle.
IO said a case under sections 281(rash driving on a public highway), 125 (a) 125(b) (act endangering life or personal safety of others), and 324 (4) (mischief) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
