Three villagers booked for burning paddy stubble fields.

 

NURMAHAL /NAKODAR

 The Nurmahal police have booked two villagers for violating an order duly promulgated by a public servant by burning paddy stubble fields.

Investigating Officer (IO) Jaswinder Pal said

the suspects have been identified as Baljit Singh a resident of Kot Badal Khan village and Sukhdev Singh a resident of Shamshad Bad village.

IO said the police received reports from cluster officer Kulvinder Kumar and revenue patwari Bhola Singh on paddy burning fields in Kot Badal Khan and Shamsha Bad villages who verified the suspects violating an order by the Jalandhar deputy commissioner.

IO said cases under section 223 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the BNS have been registered against the suspects.
