The Lohian Khas police have arrested three miscreants with illegal firearms and ammunition.
Investigating Officer (IO) Balwindar Singh said the accused have been identified as Jaswindar Singh alias Sunni son of Jagtar Singh a resident of Mulle Wal Khehra village his brother Amandeep Singh alis Amna and Jaskaran Singh alias Jass son of Dilbar Singh a resident of Sidham Dona village in Kapurthala.
IO said he was on duty at Giddarr Pindi toll plaza when a car came from Makhu side and on checking vehicle 2 country-made pistols 32 bores along with magazines. 6 live cartridges 32 bores and three magazines were recovered from their possession.
IO said a case under sections 25/5/59 of the Arms Act has been registered against the accused and impounded their vehicle in which they were traveling with illegal firearms.
