The Bilga police have arrested a villager for violating an order duly promulgated by a public servant by burning paddy stubble fields.
Investigating Officer (IO) Avtar Lal said the suspect had been identified as Mohinder Singh son of Niranjan Singh, a resident of Talwann village.

IO said a case under section 223 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the BNS has been registered against the suspect who was released on bail.
The Shahkot police booked Balaka Singh son of Harbans Singh a resident of Raunta village for burning paddy stubble fields on a report by Circle Revenue Patwari, IO Sulindar Singh.
IO said the police also booked an unidentified village for burning paddy stubble fields in Thamu Wal village.
