Woman booked, fined for burning paddy stubble fields.

 

NAKODAR

 The Nakodar Sadar police have booked a woman for violating an order duly promulgated by a public servant by burning paddy stubble fields.

Investigating Officer (IO) Janak Raj said

the suspect has been identified as Amarjit Kaur wife of Paramjit Singh a resident of Mehmu Wal village.

Nakodar Sub Divisional Magistrate Lal Vishwas in an official communication directed the police that suspect burned paddy stubble fields in her village violating an order by the Jalandhar deputy commissioner.

IO said a case under section 223 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the BNS has been registered against the suspect and fined Rs 2500.

 

The Lohian Khas police booked an unidentified villager for burning paddy stubble fields in Nahal village said IO Sukhwindar Singh.
