The Shahkot police have booked two villagers for violating an order duly promulgated by a public servant by burning paddy stubble fields.
Station House Officer (SHO) Jatindar Singh said
the suspects have been identified as Paramjit Singh a resident of Shahkot and Sital Singh a resident of Dharmi Wal.
SHO said executive officer Shahkot Nagar Panchayat cum cluster officer Brij Mohan and Panchayat Secretary Shahkot reported that suspects burned paddy stubble fields violating an order by the Jalandhar deputy commissioner.
SHO said cases under section 223 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the BNS have been registered against the suspects.
The police also booked an unidentified villager for burning paddy stubble fields in Kania Khurd village said IO Gurnam Singh.
IO Davindar Singh said the Mehat Pur police booked Jarnail Singh, a resident of Birr Baloki village, for burning paddy stubble fields.
The Lohian Khas police booked an unidentified villager for burning paddy stubble fields in Mohari Wal village said IO Sukhmindar Singh.
