The Nakodar City police have booked two villagers for violating an order duly promulgated by a public servant by burning paddy stubble fields.
Investigating Officer (IO) Kulwindar Singh said
the suspects had been identified as Harbans Singh and Makhann Singh residents of Pandori Khas village.
Nakodar sub-divisional magistrate Lal Vishwash in an official communication to the police authorities wrote to act against villagers for burning paddy stubble fields violating an order by the Jalandhar deputy commissioner.
IO said a case under section 223 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
