The Nakodar Sadar police arrested a Kapurthala resident on the charge of murdering a youth.
Station House Officer (SHO) Baljindar Singh said that the accused has Jaitindar Kumar alias Ghohli son of Sham Lal, a resident of Kahlwan village under Kapurthala Sadar police station
SHO said that the accused and his accomplices attacked and shot dead Kulwinder Singh alias Kindi (30) a resident of Kala Sangha village near Uggi village.
Charan Dass, a resident of Kala Sangha village and the father of the deceased complained to the police that his son Kindi was standing near Uggi village with his friend Laddu and two others when the accused reached there and attacked Kindi with sharp-edged weapons. He tried to save himself by running from the spot when one accused fired from his pistol at Kindi which pierced his legs and he died on the spot.
SHO said a case under sections 103(murder), 191(3) (committing an offense with common intention), and 190(unlawful assembly) of the BNS and sections 25/54/59 of the Arms Act were registered against the accused and others.
