NAKODAR
The Nakodar City police have booked an unidentified bus driver on the charge of causing death by negligence.
Hardev r Singh a resident of Mohalla Gahrriyan Nakodar complained to the police that he was the owner of a shop on Jalandhar Road and on October 19 at around a bus (PB-08-BZ--4151) of the Kartar Bus Company stopped for deboarding passengers started his vehicle and drinking negligently crushed to death an old age woman crossing the road.
Investigating Officer Dilbag Singh said the police sent the body to a civil hospital for identification, but none came to identify it and a case under section 106 (causing death by negligence) of the BNS has been registered against the unidentified driver.
