Divisional Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Sabharwal urged people to rise above religion and caste and come forward for the welfare of humanity, drawing inspiration from the teachings of Bhagwan Valmiki. Mr. Sabharwal, along with Chairman Punjab Safai Karamchari Commission Chandan Garewal participated in various events in the city on the occasion of Parkash Utsav of Bhagwan Valmiki Ji.
Congratulating people, the Divisional Commissioner said that on this auspicious day, we should pledge to live in harmony, love, and goodwill in society, and come forward for the betterment of humanity. Encouraging people to follow the teachings of Bhagwan Valmiki Ji in their lives, he stated that Bhagwan Valmiki composed the great scripture 'Ramayana' for all of humanity, which teaches us the way of life.
Mr. Sabharwal emphasized that such auspicious days should be celebrated by rising above religious, caste, colour, and racial differences, in the spirit of communal harmony and love. He said that such events not only strengthen our social fabric but also play an important role in guiding the younger generation.
The Divisional Commissioner and the Chairman also attended various events held at temples and other locations in Ali Mohalla, Kot Mohalla, Mai Hiran Gate, and Abadpura on this occasion.
