Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal directed officials to ensure the smooth lifting of paddy in the markets, stating that any kind of negligence will not be tolerated. He emphasized that Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) should continuously monitor the procurement centers under their subdivisions to ensure no issues arise in any market.
Dr. Aggarwal mentioned that, to date, 109903 metric tons of paddy have arrived in the district’s markets, out of which 103230 metric tons have already been procured. He added that ₹181 crore has been paid to the farmers for the procured paddy.
While reviewing the procurement arrangements, the Deputy Commissioner instructed officials to ensure smooth and timely procurement, lifting, and payment in the district’s markets, stressing that farmers should not face any issues. He also emphasized the importance of lifting, urging the concerned officials to personally visit the markets regularly to ensure the process runs smoothly.
