The Shahkot police have arrested a Feroze Pur village resident on charges of cheating and forgery.
The investigating officer (IO) Balvir Chand said that the accused had been identified as Rannjit Singh son of Partap Singh a resident of Hamad village under Lakhoke Behram police station in Feroze Pur.
IO said that the accused had fixed a fake temporary number (CH-RT-4417) on an I-20 car adding that a case under sections 420(cheating) 465(forgery) and 482(using false property mark) of the IPC was registered against the accused in July 2022.
