The Lohian Khas police have booked nine villagers on the charges of assaulting a co-villager.
Investigating Officer (IO) Balwindar Singh said that the accused has been identified as Bhinda a resident of Mule Wal Khehra village, Sohann Singh , Salindar Singh, Mohinder Singh, Gurpreet Singh , Davindar Singh, Sukha, Avatar Singh and Daljit Singh all residents of Sajjan Wal village.
Kehar Singh an 87-year-old resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused barged into his house on September 28 late evening attacked him with sharp weapons and seriously injured him adding that the accused ransacked his house and damaged his SUV and CCTV cameras.
IO said a case under sections 115(2) .118(1) 118(2) (voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means) 324(4) (mischief) 191(3) (rioting ) and 190(unlawful assembly ) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
