One arrested two villagers booked for murder bid, firing


NAKODAR.

 The Nakodar City police have arrested a villager and booked two villagers on the charges of attempt to murder and firing.

Nakodar deputy suprintendent of police Sukhpal Singh and Station House Officer (SHO) Sanjiv Kapur said that the accused has been identified as Amandeep Singh son of Pal Singh a resident of Meera Pur village.

SHO said that the other two accused have been identified as Rasmeet Singh son of Mandeep Singh a resident of Meera Pur village, his brother Gurveer Singh,

 Karan Kumar a resident of Meera Pur village complained to the police that the accused waylaid him on September 24 evening in the village and the accused Ras Meet Singh fired at him intending to kill but his brother pushed him to the side and saved him.

The complainant said the accused also fired at his brother who saved himself somehow adding that accused Amardeep Singh instigated his nephews by handing them over his revolver to fire. He said the accused assaulted and threatened him with dire consequences. He said jealousy was the reason behind the attack adding that the accused did not like the purchase of the Royal Enfield motorcycle by him.  

 

SHO  said that a case under section 109(attempt to
murder) 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 126(2) (wrongful restraint) 3(5) (committing crime with common intention), and 351(2) (criminal intimidation) of the BNS and sections
25/54/59 /of the Arms Act has been registered against the accused adding that a licensed revolver has been seized and one live and one empty cartridge were recovered from the spot.
